The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), on June 3, 2026, issued a circular notifying the format for filing complaints under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Grievance and Complaint Handling Procedure) Regulations, 2017. The circular is addressed to all registered Insolvency Professionals, recognised Insolvency Professional Entities and registered Insolvency Professional Agencies.
The circular refers to sub-regulation (3) of regulation 3 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Grievance and Complaint Handling Procedure) Regulations, 2017, which empowers the Board to notify a form for filing complaints. In exercise of this power, IBBI has prescribed and enclosed the complaint format as an Annexure to the circular.
The notification aims to standardize the complaint submission process and facilitate uniform handling of complaints received by the Board. Stakeholders are required to use the notified format while filing complaints before IBBI.
